Pohela Baishakh
Pohela Boishakh is the festival of the New Year Celebration for the Bengali community. We consider ‘Pohela Boishakh’ or ‘New Year Day’ as the day of new start, new hope, and happiness. Whatever the situation may be, we, as a community, always dream for a better and prosperous future. In fact, Bengalis live on new hope, and rely on new dream.
This day connects all Bengalis in one rope irrespective of religious or geographical differences. That is why this is the most secular Bengali festival, and is celebrated all over the world. Following Bengali calendar, BSM is welcomes this day in mid-April every year.
